Consistent, dependable and secure desktops.

Wyse PC Extender delivers a dependable, secure and consistent user experience across a diverse range of hardware. It’s easy to deploy and maintain too - without the need for management software, and thousands of devices can be centrally configured and securely updated without any manual interaction. If however, a more 'hands-on' approach to management is required, such as asset tracking or reporting - then Wyse Device Manager software is ideally suited.

Enterprise-quality device and data security is assured, as Wyse PC Extender is built from the very same software found in Wyse thin clients. It features a read-only file system, device lock-down and VPN support to help protect against data theft and/or loss.

Flexible multi-protocol support

Wyse PC Extender supports a wide range of protocols and infrastructures from Citrix, Microsoft and VMware as well as web-based applications, allowing you to support a variety of connections on a convenient single platform.

Management

Automatic configuration and upgrading without the need for Device Management software Additionally, integration with Wyse Device Manager (WDM) if hands-on management and asset-tracking is desired:
  • Terminal configuration (IP information, name, etc.)
  • Remote screen shadowing of entire desktop (VNC)

Wyse TCX Virtualization Software Suite

Advanced support for innovative Wyse TCX virtualization software that both works with and enhances ICA and RDP (instead of replacing them) featuring:
  • Multimedia acceleration and multicast support - the power to run rich multimedia files formats ultilizing Wyse Collaborative Processing Architecture (CPA), that intelligently redirects the necessary processing tasks between the client and the server.
  • USB virtualization - makes client attached USB devices visible to virtual desktops and applications, with full IT control.
  • Rich bi-directional sound - enables virtual desktops and applications to receive and transmit high quality audio without compromise.
  • Flash Acceleration extends high quality multimedia support to meet rapidly growing business demands for Adobe Flash playback.

Wyse Virtual Desktop Accelerator

Wyse Virtual Desktop Accelerator Delivers the best user experience for the allocated network bandwidth. Wyse Virtual Desktop Accelerator neutralizes the effects of network latency and packet loss, making ‘thin’ more suitable for more remote-site, branch, or field-based users - and boosts RDP and HDX up to 20 times on networks with latencies up to and exceeding 300ms and at least 768kbps bandwidth.
