Wyse Technology Expands Winterm Authorized Reseller Program to Meet Increased Market Demand for Thin Clients

Thin-Client Leader Increases Training and Marketing Support To Assist Reseller Community

Wyse® Technology, the worldwide leader in thin-client computing four years in a row, today announced the launch of its expanded program for reseller business partners in North America and Europe. The Wyse Authorized Winterm™ Reseller Program offers three levels of authorization, and each level provides benefits to the participating reseller, ranging from quarterly promotions and demo programs, to training sessions, technical support and sales leads. This program is designed to meet the increasing needs of thin-client customers, helping resellers to successfully capture a market projected to grow to 8.4 million units in 2004.

The new program expands from two to three levels of authorization, and enables Wyse Partners to add value and differentiate themselves in the marketplace. The new three-tiered program features Platinum, Gold and Silver membership levels and merges Netier Technologies resellers (Netier was acquired by Wyse) with the existing Wyse partner program. The program offers new sales levels, marketing and technical training and additional promotion through the Wyse website. To ensure that resellers are properly prepared to sell Wyse's newest Winterm models that were launched following the acquisition of Netier, Wyse is requiring supplementary training for all resellers interested in selling these products.

All existing partners who have demonstrated significant commitment to implementing complete thin client/server solutions will be invited to join, and value-added resellers interested in becoming Wyse Authorized Winterm Partners can apply online. Program Outline

The Silver program is the standard level of authorization, best suited for resellers who focus on classic thin-client products, maintain an average volume of yearly thin-client sales or are new to selling Wyse thin clients. Benefits to becoming a Wyse Silver Authorized Reseller include authorization to resell Winterm 1000 series ICA appliances and the Winterm 3000 series Windows terminals, participation in quarterly promotions, training and demo programs, sales tools and service and support.

The Gold program is geared towards resellers with a primary business focus on server-based computing that have achieved substantial thin-client sales. To be eligible for the Gold program, resellers are required to have been Wyse resellers for at least six months. Resellers in the Gold program will have access to sales leads and will be assigned both field and inside sales resources to assist in marketing and sales. Wyse Technology will also provide a two-day Rapport certification course at half the regular price to two system engineers. Gold program participants will be authorized to purchase all Wyse Winterm products and Wyse Rapport thin-client management software.

The Platinum program, or premiere level of authorization, is by invitation only for resellers that are highly focused on thin-client computing and who have been Gold partners for a period of one year or more. Platinum partners receive the benefits of both Silver and Gold programs, with the addition of free Web-based training sessions, and a link to their company's URL on the Wyse Technology website.
